Idea Integration® Announces Expansion of its Accelerated Access Team for SAPTM BWTM

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (May 2, 2002) -- -- Idea Integration® announced today the expansion of its Accelerated Access Team (AAT), a team of business and technology consultants dedicated to delivering best practices and technology implementations for SAPTM BWTM. As part of the expansion, Idea will provide the support necessary for the people, process, and technology of the San Francisco-based Accelerated Access Team to increase delivery capacity and further improve delivery capability.

Expansion of the Idea AAT is prompted by an increase in consumer demand for SAP BW consulting and solutions. SAP BW is the integrated enterprise data warehousing solution offered by SAP, which continues to gain market share and interest.

Idea Integration maintains that three primary factors are driving the increase in demand for SAP BW solutions.

  1. Idea's SAP clients are looking to leverage and extend existing technology investments. As companies seek solutions that provide the greatest return on investment, they look to SAP BW for a proven, integrated, and cost-effective tool to open access to operational data for improved enterprise decision-making.

  2. The SAP BW technology continues to improve in each new release. The newest release, SAP BW 3.0, supports an open enterprise architecture and many of the high-demand features and functions required to support effective enterprise decision support (including the ODS, new Web features, and improved user-interface reporting tools).

  3. SAP Portals, which provides an open framework for workplace collaboration and enterprise unification, leverages the SAP BW infrastructure to enable real-time data mining as part of operational/transaction events. For example, SAP Portals may exercise real-time fraud detection logic as part of a purchase approval process. That fraud detection logic has traditionally been reserved for the data warehouse -- to report and detect issues after the fact.
