GITA, a nonprofit educational association serving the global geospatial community, hosts its annual forum to promote the use and benefits of geospatial information and technology. The 2004 conference theme is A New Perspective In a Changing World. Accordingly, the educational tracks, seminars, and panel discussions will explore the latest technological developments as well as the basics of geospatial technology. This year’s event is expected to draw a unique cross section of more than 3,000 professionals representing electric, gas, water and wastewater utilities; telecommunications organizations; pipeline companies; and local government entities.
