Jacksonville, FL (Aug. 20, 2004) – Idea Integration®, the IT solutions and systems integration unit of MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MPS), today announced the completion of a Maintenance of Addressing and Parcels (MAP) system project for Douglas County, Colorado.
MAP, integrating GIS and CAMA systems, is used to maintain spatial land features and other characteristics layers as well as the proper addressing of property within the county boundaries. It also completely modernizes the resident software applications and business processes over the entire county. Idea began the project by providing a detailed plan for the construction and testing of the system. The MAP system was then developed incorporating features from the county’s three different disparate systems and was built in conjunction with a spatial geographic information system also being built within the county.
The new MAP system enables the Douglas County government to reduce repetitive data entry and allow related processes to share a single workflow. The new level of integration created by this system provides for easier parcel and addressing systems updates and maintenance.
