Idea Acquired by The Gores Group

Jacksonville, FL (July 03, 2012): Idea, a leader in technology integration solutions, announced today its acquisition by The Gores Group, a global investment firm. Gores acquired Idea in a transaction that closed July 1 with Adecco Group North America, part of the world’s largest recruitment and workforce solutions provider.

As part of the Gores portfolio, Idea will be a standalone entity continuing to provide its core expert technology solutions in the key areas of digital strategy, marketing and design, application development and management, infrastructure support and services, and customer support. Idea will be headquartered in Jacksonville, FL.

Idea also announced new leadership as part of the transition. Rebecca Rogers-Tijerino has been appointed President of the newly standalone company. Rogers-Tijerino, since January, was Idea’s senior vice president of application services overseeing the company’s largest group of IT solutions offerings including Digital Strategy, Marketing and Design, Application Development, Quality and Security Services, Application Portfolio Management and Modernization.
